It also points out a significant failure rate to meet posted specifications by some well estabished OEMs. It specifies the PSU OEM and the model number and how it performed or failed to. The PSU testing linked to above is very specific and unbias. If what you say is true then can you please tell us why it is so that so many PSUs are DOA or do not meet their posted specifications? You conclude your last post by saying: "The 560 that user is having trouble with is most likely just a DOA like the tons of Antecs, Seasonic's, Enermax's, and even OCZ's that i have read about.? Crap happens, RMA and forget about it." The 560 that user is having trouble with is most likely just a DOA like the tons of Antecs, Seasonic's, Enermax's, and even OCZ's that i have read about. Had it poweringĪll night bf2 session and psu exhaust air was always cold and rails always great. The most impressive unit of theirs that i have used was the 460w woo68 with dual 15amp 12v rails. Also, all of TT'S new models have dual 12v rails with definately more 18a. For REAL overclocking, sli, or lots of hard drives get an OCZ 520SLI, silverstone 600, or any PC Power & Cooling (the absolute best but expensive as heck). For running machines at base speeds and even modest overclocking, they are perfectly fine. So to say that they arent any good for amd64 is so much garbage. ATX psu's actually only have to be within 5%. All of them run within 2% of spec all the time. The rest of them, including the 560 replacement, have been rock solid. Out of all that i had one 560w come with a 12v that was a little low, about 11.6. Included models were the TR2 430W, dual rail 460w, older style 480w, and the 560w. I have personally built and used over 10 different high end Athlon 64 computers (both 754 and 939) that used Thermaltake power supplies (Ive also used PCP&C, OCZ. This is just a fact of the electronic world. I have never seen a power supply, motherboard, or any other part that didnt have a DOA every now and then. I swear, people have one bad experience with a brand and automatically assume that they are all bad.
